Performing Arts

Mr. Wehr, our Music teacher here at Sedalia Park, would like everyone to know why it is so important that you sign your child's permission slip for the Performing Arts. He writes

Why should you sign the permission slip and donate to the performing arts program? 

• To provide opportunities for Cobb's children K- 8th grades to experience uniquely rewarding performing arts that might otherwise be unavailable to them.
• To spark curiosity, broaden awareness of the Arts, stimulate minds and emotions, foster creativity and inspire a lifelong interest and love of the arts with far-reaching effect.

To encourage excellence in the arts by providing high-quality professional performances and opportunities for cultural enrichment through the performing arts. Sedalia Park’s 5^th grade will see the Atlanta Symphony Dec. 9^th and the 2^nd grade will see the Ballet Sleeping Beauty. Last year we were able to bring special performances to Sedalia Park for our 3^rd grade and 4^th grade. We also had our Kindergarten and 1^st grade enjoy a special performance at the High Museum in Atlanta.

Please sign and consider donating to the Performing Arts Program. This really does help our students!
